HOW DO WE BRING BACK OUR GIRLS #bringbackourgirls
A mother cried loud for help, for the life of her beloved child, Nigeria weeps for the rescue of her beloved daughters, the town of chibok got popular out of nothing but sympathy, this is simple summary of the feelings that birthed the social media hashtag #bringbackourgirls.
Its been a year since the abduction of close to three hundred school girls in Chibok Borno state #Nigeria, the level of nonchalance displayed by the government about this turn of sour event is unprecedented, as the days wares on, the parents and the people wondered why the silence from the part of the government is so deafening, security is the ultimate responsibility of any government, any form of failure in this particular sector should be met with an unforgiven reaction and condemnation from citizenry, you never know, tomorrow might be your turn.
The wickedness and the politics been played with this tragedy has left the international community in awe and in return brand Nigeria as 'a state without a government', the breaking point of the patience of any reasonable community can only be tampered if there's an assurance of unsafe of lives and their properties.
How fast time flies, its one year already and I assume any sane government with this kind of failure should be scared or better-still ashamed of this day for it will be used to analyse its ultimate failure (insecurity) and also in reference to the scar its failure has left in the other sectors.
The ultimate question goes thus;
How do we bring back our girls that the notorious Abubakar Shakau has claimed to have shared amongst the men as wives already, how do we bring back our girls that they claim have been trained and enlisted into the bokoharam armed group, how do we bring back our girls that the government has used to play both internal and regional politics, how do we bring back our girls when the government with the whole institution of the republic has claimed that it is mission impossible, how do we bring back our girls in one figure without having some left behind as MIA, how do we bring back our girls that left with innocence that we now know for sure have been washed off without an ounce of that quality left.
Nigeria Government, I appeal, #bringbackourgirls
