How the minister of works barely escapes embarrassment from debtors
If the report by an insider in the Nigeria federal ministry of works is anything to go by, we can confirm to you that agents and contractors owed by the ministry on Tuesday 14/4/2015 stormed the headquarters in mabushi, utako area district Abuja, the FCT.
The mild drama started after the minister, Mr Mike Onolomehmen stormed out of the headquarters at 10:05am as he appears to have received an intel from an agent amongst the contractors who got to the ministry's premises at 10:15am on that same day.
The contractors came with warrants and court injunctions granting them permission to go away with assets belonging to the ministry if their debt is not cleared, this assets includes staff buses and generator plants, all calls by the ministry's legal director to the court that granted the injunction appeared to yield little resolution as at the time of filling this report.
It can be recalled that the president-elect, General Mohammadu Buhari has ordered all ministry to clear their debt before the may 29 handing over date.
